For you
The For you tab ranks posts using signals such as:
- Recency and recent activity.
- People and stacks you follow.
- Interactions and conversations related to your interests.
- Conversation quality, not just the number of likes.
- Diversity of authors and topics to avoid repeating the same content.
- Language and basic relevance signals.
There is no paid boosting. We do not use sensitive data to rank the feed. We do not show content from accounts you have blocked or muted.
Following
The Following tab is chronological: it shows posts from the people and projects you follow, newest first. It does not apply a hidden ranking.
Trends
Trends are calculated from activity in the last 7 days and require at least 5 posts to appear. During the beta they may be hidden or empty if there is not enough volume. The team may curate trends, and that is labelled when it happens.
Nixo
Nixo is not a recommendation system. If you ask it to search for something, it queries public content and returns results. It does not change your feed or decide which trends you see.
Your control
- Follow or unfollow people and projects.
- Mute or block accounts.
- Report content that should not be there.
- Switch to Following if you prefer chronological order.
- Choose the interface language.
Advertising and data
There are no ads in V1. We do not sell placements or use your data for third-party advertising. If there is sponsored content in the future, it will be labelled and will not be mixed into the ranking without disclosure.
